This course is designed for individuals who work with young children and was developed to meet the course programme as laid down by the NCMA and Pre-School Learning Alliance to meet the requirements of the National Standards for the purpose of registering as an early years professional. All childminders in England and Wales are required to have a valid early years first aid qualification preferably upon registration if not within six months of receiving their registration certificate. This course may also be used to provide evidence to an NVQ assessor for those working towards an NVQ in Child Care and Education (level 3).

This 12 hour course normally runs over 2 days and includes the following topics:

Continuous assessment by the course trainer ensures that successful candidates receive a certificate valid for 3 years at the end of the course.
