This is the only first aid course approved by the health and safety executive.

This 4-day course offers a basic curriculum in a range of first aid competencies needed in any workplace giving our students the ability to administer first aid safely, promptly and effectively to a casualty.

It includes training in:

How to act in the event of an emergency
CPR ( cardio-pulmonary resuscitation )
Unconscious casualty
Wounds & bleeding
Burns & scolds
Injuries to bones, muscles and joints
Shock
Eye injuries
Poisoning
Dealing with a casualty overcome by gas and fumes
Transportation of a casualty
Recognize major and minor illnesses and take appropriate action

Our students will also gain the ability to maintain simple factual records and provide written information to a doctor or hospital if required. They will also gain knowledge on the importance of:

Personal hygiene in first aid procedures
The legal framework of first aid provision at work
The use of first aid equipment provided in the workplace
The role of first aiders in emergency procedures

Successful candidates will be able to act as first aiders in the work place.
The certification is valid for 3 years and can be renewed by participating in an imperative training first aid at work refresher course upto 3 months before the expiry date of the current certificate.
