This one day course is designed for all first tier food handlers and staff who have not been formally trained in food hygiene. The aim of the course is to provide food handlers with an appreciation of the fundamentals of good food hygiene practice and to equip them with the practical skills necessary to work safely with food.


The course covers the following topics:

The course will run over one full day or two half day sessions, depending on the organisations or individuals needs. Certificates will be awarded to successful candidates and the course is equivalent to Level 1 training as required by the Food Safety (General Food Hygiene) Regulations 1995.
